The Ins and Outs of Administrative Law

Come hear Judge Brown—King Hall alumni—speak about her path to becoming an Administrative Law Judge. She will discuss what makes administrative law distinct from other areas of the law, and give tips on what law students and lawyers can do if they are interested in one day becoming a judge. This event kicks off FLSA’s Culture Week. Serving lumpia, pork sisig, crispy bangus sisig (fish), pancit bihon, and garlic rice!

Panelist include: Kimberly Procida, with the California Public Employment Relations Board; Theo Cuison, Interim Deputy Director for the East Bay Community Law Center Immigration Program; John Ambrosio, former Public Defender now running a private criminal defense practice; and Emmanuel Salazar with the California Department of Justice. #MeToo, Employment Law, and the Prosecution of Sexual Harassment

You are invited to join Mr. Bill Tamayo, District Director of the EEOC, for a discussion of the #MeToo Movement and its impact on employment law and the prosecution of sexual harassment. Mr. Tamayo is an alumnus of King Hall and will also talk about his career path and share valuable insights for those seeking positions in government. Professor Leticia Saucedo will moderate the discussion. Mr. Tamayo will stay until 2:00pm for an extended Q&A session and to dish out career advice.
